MBP driving a monitor

I've been thinking about picking up a bigger monitor for some more screen estate. I'm thinking about one of these 2.

26" DoubleSight

Would an almost 2 year old MBP run adequately / natively on these monitors? At the moment it is my only computer. Might end up using a ps3 with this also.

ATI Radeon X1600 video card
256 MB VRAM

I don't know much about this stuff so any input is appreciated.
