So I just got a MBP, a Duet and an external hardrive as i have seen numerous statementss that it is better to record to an external drive than the C Drive on the computer.. But i only have one firewire connection on the MBP.

I'm just setting this up but seems like it could be an issue .. Do i need to buy a hub or something??

Thank you,

Ok , so I can use the USB 2.0 connector for the Hard drive no problem right... Problem solved.. It has three options

So are you saying I could run the Duet thru the Harddrive all in Firewire??

Yup, works fine, especially if you make the first connection to the HDD FW800, then use a 400-800 cable for the duet. Keeps your usb ports free for a keyboard/controller etc.
