MBP DVI to HDMI question

If I buy a DVI to HDMI cable in order to hook my MBP to my TV, I am not going to get sound through that cable am I?

That's correct. With my TV I use a DVI to HDMI adapter with an HDMI cable going to my TV and then I have a separate 3.5mm audio cable going from my laptop to the TV to get sound. This may or may not work depending on what TV you have. I have an LG 50PG30 if it makes a difference (it shouldn't).

Correct dvi does not pass sound
