Guys I have a serious problem with my beloved early MacBook Pro 2008 after 11.5 years in the service. As you see in the video try to start up but the light goes off immediately.I tried everything but still nothing.I know that the early 2008 models have issues with nvidia graphics card but I don’t know..Worked fine until yesterday.https://files.fm/u/qtekeerh

One way to find out, power it up and see if you can Target Disk Mode into the 2008 using another Mac. If you can, there is a reasonable chance it's a blown GPU. The "lights" may or may not mean anything -- however, if you hit power, but can't even boot or TDM into the 2008 Pro from another Mac, your problem could be anything, including a blown motherboard/logicboard, bad RAM, bad harddrive, disconnected rail/power cable -- anything.

No matter the problem, it's going to be hard to justify economically spending anything at all to fix it. A single replacement part is going to be more than the machine is worth, and its value is probably between $150 to $300, max. I wouldn't buy it at any price. If it were me, I wouldn't even waste my time troubleshooting it. Rip out the hard drive, shred it, on to a new machine.
