I just got my SR MBP back from an Apple store... I was writing an email about a week ago and it locked up. It wouldn't book, couldn't repair the disc or boot from external drives or cds, and the Apple store wound up replacing my hard drive, logic board, and optical drive (saying "it wouldn't boot from a cd").

Well, get this. I get it home and my MacBook Pro will not load cds. I put a CD in the drive... and it spits it right back out 5 seconds later without even reading it. I've tried audio cds, video dvds, and even the Apple Logic Express install disc. Nothing works.

AAAH!

Any known solutions or even ideas why the heck my mac's doing this?

Did you find a solution to your optical drive issue? My friend is having the same issue. Disks keep getting ejected.
