MBP + external ... Calibrate external only?

Probably a dumb question, but just want to be sure...

Let's say you have an MBP and an external, and that your external is your favoured display when it comes to working with photos, is there any need to be concerned about any degree of calibration on the MBP screen?

No, but you should calibrate both anyway. It takes all of a few minutes and can make a world of difference.
