I bought a 27” Dell monitor (shorturl.at/desH9) for my 16” MBP primarily to use with Office apps and other non-gaming purposes. The text display on the monitor is blurry to me. I’m using the HDMI port. Would using the DisplayPort port provide higher resolution or should I get a different monitor?

Before you do anything else, I suggest you read this page and work your way through ALL of the possible settings, to see if any of them make a difference for you:

If nothing there works, THEN it will be time to consider changing your connection scheme (perhaps use USBc to displayport, bypassing HDMI entirely) -- or consider another display (which might have the same problems)...
