MBP "FAILS to burn disc"

Every time I try to burn a disc in itunes it burns about 8-15 tracks then it stops and says it "failed". The exact message is "The Burn failed because of a medium right error". Every time I try to burn a disc. This is a BRAND NEW COMPUTER. WTF

It is either an issue with the disk or a speed issue. Reduce the write speed if you are using 'maximum possible', and that may likely fix it.
