Hello everyone

Was using my laptop the other day on the couch, browsing the internet and listening to music when it shut down randomly. It's happened before, so I tried to power it back on and nothing.

The fans will spin for 3 seconds at full speed and then shut off.

I've tried:

  • replacing the RAM
  • reset the power management
  • multiple batteries and adapters
  • googled as much as I can handle.

Obviously, due to the age the laptop is out of warranty.

Does this sound like logic board? What else could be wrong? Logic board replacements are 1000+ from every place I find except 1, which charges 495 and uses refurbed parts (which is fine by me). Is it a safe bet that the logic board is bad or will I send this out and find out it's something else?

Thanks
