So I've got a late 2008 model MBP unibody. Every time i dim the display down around 1/3 brightness or lower--the whole display begins to flicker. Of course this also happens when it's unplugged and dims after a few minutes of idleness.
I've played around moving the lid back and forth and tapping the computer/screen/hinge area and it doesn't seem to be in correlation with anything like that.
Also, my machine has been running pretty hot for the past few months and recently my battery started saying 'replace soon', so I don't know if any of that has to do with it.
