So I just noticed that the little black foot underneath my 2011 MBP came unglued and fell off. How can I fix this? Should I take it into an Apple Store for them to fix or is it an easy fix I can do myself??
a little adhesive should do the trick.
If you have Apple Care, Call Apple and see if they're still offering the Self-Service repair kit.
IMO, you need to unscrew the bottom plate before you use any kind of glue to reattach it.. You might also want to purchase a replacement/repair kit from Amazon or eBay, if you don't have Apple Care.
Well I may just take it into an Apple Store and see if they will put it back on.
Of course all Apple stores might not be the same, but a while back I took my MBP 13" in for a new battery, and sort of impulsively decided to let them install two new "feet" (they had come off and been lost). It was pretty expensive (they quoted me a price that I thought was for both of them but it was actually *each*). A couple of months later.... one of those fell off
Now, I may be able to have them re-repair it, I have not tried yet. But.. it was pricey and only had a 50% success ratio for me.
Does anyone know how much it might cost to replace the foot pad? I still have the foot pad so maybe it just needs to be re-applied. But if I need to replace the whole bottom panel how would that be? I'd be nice to have all four foot pads in place if I ever wanted to sell my Mac.
I don't know what the cost is but this Apple Doc may be helpful:

Yeah I saw that earlier. Not too sure I'd want to play with a glue that instantly bonds to my skin though.
