I just purchased a MBP 15" model from Apple for FCX and realized after it's being shipped with the stock 750 GB HDD (5400 RPM)
As the main uses of the laptop are for FCX, Motion, After Effects and Photoshop, I'm wondering if I should install an SSD instead as I do have the money to add to it. Most of my projects are done on an external scratch disk. Still would I benefit from an SSD and if so what size should I look at? Unfortunately I do need the super drive to burn DVDs and such so I cant take that out.
Or should I just keep the 750GB HDD? As my projects are all on an external scratch disk its possible the SSD won't even benefit me but I'm not sure, just want to see if its worth the money.
