With the greatest of respect.. we only have your word that you own the MBP so you can probably understand if there's a reluctance to help. None of us would like to be helping anyone to break into an MBP belonging to someone else. That's why you need to take it to Apple, payment or not.

If you did set it up with an Apple ID as ChristianJapan asked, if you enter your password incorrectly a few times it'll ask you if you want to reset your password using your Apple ID.

Boot into the Lion recovery partition by holding down Command-R on start up. Then open up Utilities and go into Terminal. Type in resetpassword and you can fix it right up.

honestly, does it really make a difference? Apple even has a document to provide this information - so if we tell the OP or not how to do it is a bit useless, as with enough trying even people who can't use the internet can google things as simple as this....

Ok thank you for trying to helping me
i didn't steal anything, i just forgot my password.
ok i will search the os x cd, or i will try something Else

Yeah...try taking it to the Apple Store, as people have already suggested.

I guess...what's it worth to you if you can't remember your password and therefore your computer is totally useless?

Pay the fee and use a password you'll remember more easily in future.

Good luck.

I always forget passwords to things I paid thousands of $$$ for. Especially when most people, including myself, use passwords that are the same or similar as other critical login accounts for things like banking and emails.

How do you forget your own password? I'm sorry... but I really don't understand how this happens, especially after at least a week of usage.

How dumb are some people. There is, or used to be several ways around this. Can people not even google? JFC. And who the hello forgets the admin password to personal computer. No one thats who.

Maybe when he says forgot what he really means is he forgot to ask for the password when he stool the laptop.

Apple usually doesn't charge to look, unless my Apple store is very different than the norm...

The service fee is like $35, if they charge you one at all. Consider it a lesson learned.

i don't know If you put a hint but make sure you do it next time :) Because in that case things would be just easier,no payments no need to check here just a hint and it ll be on in minutes.Or like me you can usually write to a piece of paper and then put it to a private area in your room :p
