I have a 13" MBP with 8GB ram and its like mid 2009 running Lion, installed from the app store.

Over the last month or so I have noticed when using it, the mouse will stop and freeze on screen, Each time, I get the black blind thing that rolls down the screen and tells me to turn the computer off.

After restarting I send the report to apple.

Anyone know a fix to this, with out having to bring to apple?

That's called a Kernal Panic, chances are you're having some kind of hardware problem.

It can relate to anything plugged into the USB ports, RAM, or the Logic Board in general.

That's all I can really offer without any more info from your end, chances are, you're going to need to take it into Apple.

Has it been dropped at any point recently since it started or anything spilt on it etc?
