So i'm new to the mac family, just got a 2.6ghz 15" mbp with 4gb ram (so I went all out). The problem is when i'm in itunes and trying to get rid of some old music and stuff the computer keeps freezing. Once frozen it won't let me do anything (can't force quit, can't click on anything, can't adjust volume) but the mouse still moves.

Do any of you know what the problem could be? I just got it and haven't even loaded any programs on it yet

Yup I had this issue too! I have a brand new Penryn MBP and every now and then iTunes freezes the whole damn thing up. I used appzapper to get rid of itunes and i reinstalled it. I'm hoping the issue goes away. Will keep updated.

If Uninstalling and Re-installing doesn't work. Go the nine yards and re-format.. Once your ready to install leopard do a custom install, get rid of the printer drivers and extra language packs. That's what most members do to free up space.
