Canada EH!!!
I have a 15" MBP (5,1), 2.53 GHz, 1.07GHz Bus

I am running out of room on my Hard Drive and I want to upgrade today. I have a couple questions.

1) What is the largest HD I can install

2) Any suggestions on manufacturer or model?

Thanks.

1. 1TB

2. I've had good experience with Western Digital and if you want the 1TB, then your only choice is the WD drive. If you want fast and big drive, get the 750GB Seagate Momentus

OK thanks!!

I just called my local computer store and they have a 500GB Samsung 5400rpm for $99. It's the only HD they have over 320GB. It would give me another 120GB which would be OK for a little while. What do you think?

I was wondering the same thing and asked a few days ago so can help you out a bit now that I know. I want to run dual-drives in my system so decided on going with the 750gb drive mentioned above.

This was the link I was given but their currently out of stock.

The other option that I found through many google searches which is a better alternative to the 5200rpm 1tb drive is this samsung 5400rpm drive.
