I have a late 2008 15" unibody Macbook Pro.

Running system 10.6.7, iTunes 10.2.1

I have repeatedly tried to put movies (bought thru the itunes store) onto my idevices (iPad, iPhones) and the process hangs at the end. Activity Monitor reports that iTunes is 'Not Responding'.

This seems to be the exact same problem that was going on with the 13" 2010 macbook air, for which Apple has since provided a fix for.

***The added wrinkle here is that iTunes ONLY hangs when I'm trying to put a MOVIE on an idevice. It works no problem when I'm trying to add music.

I've done ALL the usual suggestions:
1) repaired permissions
2) reset pram, etc.
3) run disk warrior (no problems reported)
4) reinstalled itunes 10.2.1

Heck, I finally even went ahead and tried the update for the 13" air that apple supplied for the problem on those machines, but that didn't do anything.

I have yet to read of anyone else having this problem with the late 2008 macbook pro, but since it's a prevalent and confirmed problem with the 13" mba, I was thinking that maybe the problem is a little more widespread.

Any suggestions?
