Hey all, I bought a Mini-display port to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable to hook up my mid 2010 macbook pro to my 32" 1080p LED tv. I plugged in the adapter and cable and my macbook's screen changes...then goes back to normal. Nothing is showing on the tv screen and the menu bar doesnt detect my tv. Anyone know a fix for this?:eek:

I'm using a ProHT Mini DP to HDMI adapter and a regular HDMI cable. Im running Mountain Lion. And yes, I have set my tv to the correct HDMI input. I've tried turning on tv then macbook, and the reverse as well as reconnecting. :(

See if you can try a different Mac. If that doesn't work, your adapter or HDMI cable is probably bad. I had a cheaper $10 adapter, and it stopped working after about a year. I think the $30 Moshi ones are the only ones that'll give you consistent results.
