I've always just ran my calibration with the "choose native" option on my 2009 MBP but today I payed attention (finally) and noticed that it doesn't calibrate to the usual 6500K color temp but 7400k.

I thought that can't be right so I tested it again but manually choosing 6500k and the colors ended up being way off. Everything had a magenta hue to it.

I compared the calibrated i1 Display 2 vs Stock profile and there was very little difference (which is good obviously) but brought out some shadow detail in blacks.

Anyway, are all MBP unibody (Mine is anti-glare) set to the default of 7400k?
