Hello!!

This is unfortunately my second topic on these forums with a hardware problem, this time no spill though and I am still in warranty (!). But I would like to get some more information about the problem, so I can make my case more clear to the genius at an Apple Service Center. Next to that, it is not very easy to reproduce the problem, but I made a video/screencast..

The issue occurs when my macbook has been sleeping (for a while), and when I open it up and waking it from sleep.. my screen has green flickering snow on mostly black parts of the screen (see http://cl.ly/4547203M2n3R2a1k1m2h) ** made with my phone, since screencaptures are normal **. The moment I close it, to put it to sleep, and opening it up again waking, it is all normal again. Although I am experiencing some shocking lately when watching youtube video's (not all the time), not sure if it's related.

Here's a video, with a more extreme form, only been once like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxuXMOfl_bw

What I've tried so far; SMC reset, safe boot, PRAM reset, new user account (same issue), changing performance setting (problem occurs on both onboard graphic gpu/ standalone).

Basically I have the feeling the poor thing is dying on me, and I am taking it to Apple ASAP. Unlike USA most APR's here don't have the knowledge and only take it in after paying money to take it to their technical department, with the possibility not able to reproduce the problem.

The reason I am posting here is because I first had the impression the problem was caused by software, and was about to wait for Lion. Maybe someone experienced same issues, and know what caused it? Probably looking at a Logicboard replacement? Anyone care to share, thanks in advance!

bye!
