My MBP got down to 3%, so I shut the lid and put it on the charger. I came back later and it had apparently turned off due to battery. I pushed the button, the screen came back on and it took a minute for the 3% to change to 36%.

If I put it on the charger, why would it have still died? Is this normal?

Sometimes my magsafe doesn't line up quite right and the contact is dodgy. Maybe this is what happened?
