Hoping someone can explain what the "Page In" and "Page Out" sections mean. I just installed a WD Scorpio Blue 500 GB. With my original 250 gb I remember seeing that area and I had something like "500,000 Page Ins and 0 Outs". I noticed with my WD I already have "243 Page Outs, 60,000 Page Ins"

You will find a good explanation about "page outs" here

Great, thanks guys. So next question then... What in the hard drive could cause an increased number of "Page Outs"? Over a 6 month period, running the same applications I never had a single "Page Out" with my original hard drive. Now, in two days I have had 163. Is there something hard drive related that could be causing the computer to tax the RAM? Or would this be normal considering I went to a 500 gb and had to restore all of my files (210 gb worth) to the new drive... Spotlight re-indexing etc.?
