Just wondering if what I'm experiencing is 'normal'

I recently clean reinstalled my 2009 13" MBP with Mountain Lion.

Because my previous (ML) install encrypted the SSD, I had to use a Terminal corestorage command to delete the partitions/whatever so that my disk would show up during the install process.

Now, every time I restart I get a screen asking for 'Disk Password' where I have to enter the SSD's FileVault code. Once I do that, I get to the normal login screen with my user name etc.

I don't remember getting the 'Disk Password' screen before this clean install - is this normal?

When I look at System Prefs / Security / FileVault, there is a message saying 'Some users are not able to unlock the disk' - could be related?

The wisdom of the forum is eagerly anticipated ...
