Does anybody know if anyone makes and sells black MBP keys? I would like to change mine and would it be hard?

I really like the black key on silver notebook look like my TiBook. I wish apple would go back to it.

If you look at the MacBook Air, it looks like they might be going back. I like it but I think I might prefer the white keys on aluminum like the new aluminum keyboards.

The white might get dirty after a while though.

True, but I like the design enough that I wouldn't mind having to clean them every once in a while.

Yeah that would be pretty good looking, i want either white or black. I have cleaning wipes so cleaning them wouldn't bother me at all.

No, lets keep the silver keys the way they are.

Its your MBP, so its your choice to keep yours that way. But i can't find anyplace that has different colored keys and im not great at searching for stuff. It would be greatly appreciated if someone found me some.:D

This would be extremely difficult to accomplish. I have come across people that removed a key when cleaning the keyboard and it requires a VERY meticulous lining up of some plastic clips under the keys. It seemed to me that each key would require 5 minutes of effort and often people broke the clips in the process.

Replacing the keys on the current MBP is tricky. Some people get it back on easily- as if it was a simple press-fit design. But many, many people have taken the keys off and find it very difficult to put them back the way they were.

It seems as if the MBP keyboard is "over engineered".

Okay, Thank you for that information. I'm thinking about just getting a keyboard cover now, and i was looking at the Iskin on the Apple Store. Does anybody have any experience with the iskin?

I work in an Apple Computer Support center, and it gets easier over time. I'm sure that by the 8th or 9th key you could do them each in about 20 seconds. You really just have to hook the bottom part then snap the top. It definitely gets easier.
