MBP late 2008 vs MBP mid 2009

Hi,
Which is faster the Macbook Pro 2.66 Ghz(late 2008-early2009)with 6 mb L2 cache with the T9550, 4Gb Ram or the 2.66Ghz Macbook Pro (mid 009) 3 mb L2 cache with 4 Gb Ram P8800?

They're practically the same machine. The extra cache in theory should give you a tiny speed bump but I wonder if it will be all that noticeable. I'd say not to worry about how fast either one is, because they're so close in performance but look at the other features.

For instance, the 09 models have a seal battery and no expresscard slot. You may want a user replaceable battery or you may want the longer battery life. Additionally with the 15" models, you can now get a matte screen.

I feel the same way. The difference will be minimal, and will go unnoticed for day-to-day tasks.
