Hello Guys,
Ever since updating my macbook pro to Yosemite and beyond my macbook felt slow. I also did get the spinning beach ball very often. To the point were I no longer wanted to use it.
Yesterday I did a internet recovery which installed os X Lion. After booting into it i immediately noticed how much faster it runs, even though the geekbench scores are the same with the different os x versions.
I've updated to Mavericks which runs as quickly and snappy as Lion. So once again I'm having a macbook which I enjoy using even though I miss a couple of feature of El Capitan and Sierra. But i much rather have a responsive system.
So my advice to anybody with an older macbook: Don't let geekbench scores fool you.
