Hi everyone! I had my MBP for over a year now and Im still under apple care. The problem is the lcd screen has dark areas. Here is a pic. Its really noticable when the screen is one color, like in the pic...or in movies.

It hasnt really bothered me until now. Is this common? If not, do you guys think Apple would replace the LCD for me? Its a bit inconvenient for me to bring it down to the store with my busy schedule. If so, I'd take it in. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

If its still covered by Applecare, they will replace it. I bought this MBP used and it had 3 blotches of slight darkness like bruises. It was out of warranty so I bought the hi res screen in my sig for $250. A normal 1440x900 screen will cost about $200-$225 plus labor to install (unless you do it yourself.

Cheers,
