MBP : Line In - Headset?

Hello,

I just got a brand new MBP and when I try my headset it doesn't work and I was reading somewhere I might need a headset that has amplification or something. I'm a bit unsure of which headset will work

I have a bluetooth headset that works fine. I haven't actually tried the line-in plug.

Yeah, the line in on your MBP won't work with a standard Mic, you'll need to buy something like the iMic in order to amplify the Mic properly. Any USB headset will work fine. Not sure about Bluetooth ones as I've never actually tried one myself, but from the post above they seem to be an option too.
