MBP lion wont boot

I had an error in disk utility, so I used lion recover to boot and repair, then got the error "can't repair, restore from back ups". Of course mine are WAY out of date.

If I can get it to reinstall Lion will that erase everything?

I have tried resetting the PRAM and booting in "safe mode"

I just get the Apple then a status bar shows (never any progress) then the screen just goes to black.

*EDIT - Can't reinstall LION because it says disk is locked... wtf?

Help please...
