Hi,
I've had an intermittent problem with my MBP - making it hard to pin down. It happens maybe a couple of times a week now and has been going on for a month or two. I think that every time it's happened I've been using a browser (by default I use Chrome but I believe it's happened with FF too) - I am up-to-date on both browser releases and with my OS. I have tried disabling plugins/extensions, but as I mentioned it doesn't happen frequently enough to make it easy to pin down.
The browser seems to lock up and I get the spinning wheel. I can usually move other windows around - e.g. say if I have a TextEdit window open, then I can drag that (ie my system is not completely unresponsive) but I can't bring up Activity Monitor or the "Force Quit" menu. CrashReporter never appears and I tried leaving the mac for 10 minutes but it remained locked. The only way I've found to resolve the situation is to hold down the power button until the mac switches off.
I'm fairly new to a mac and was hoping there was some way of identifying the offending program. I have attached the last crashlog if that will help anyone, but to be honest it's making little sense to me.
Details about my MBP are below.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer & let me know if I need to supply any other details.
Neil
