Hi I was wondering if there is a correlation between the MBP logic board
and peripherals connected to it.

Recently my MBP 2011's GPU died so I went for a repair.
They swapped for free under my AppleCare but my USB 3.0 Expresscard
was no use now.

As many of would know, after the logic board exchange, everything
changes including time, launchpad app orders, etc
And I was wondering if its related for the USB3.0 expresscard not working.

I have the GMYLE USB3.0 Expresscard with the GenericUSBxhci driver.
It use to work from 10.8 and even after upgrading to 10.9.
However after the repair, it wouldnt run anymore.
I did reinstall the driver as well but no use.
I even edited the plist including the GenericYSBxhci under AppleKextExcludeList.

Is there a fix to this?

Try the card in different Mac, and if it still won't work then the chances are it's dead...
