i have a mac book pro and am new to gaming i bought cod 4 and a logitec controller and can't seem to get it to work. is there any way to use a controller?

thanks for the help that explains why i couldn't get it to recognize the controller haha. how is the game play using the new mac book pro as far as using the track pad and keyboard, also can u tell me if u know of any other games that are 1st person shooter for mac that do support the controller? thanks again for any help.
crysis does as well as fallout 3. those are off top of my head
playing with a mouse and kb takes some getting used to if you like controllers but its not horrible
i still much prefer contrrollers
