Guys, I've noticed recently that when in sleep mode for around 24 hours, my MBP battery is draining to almost 10%. Is that normal?

All I have open is Mail, Safari and Calendar. I'm quite certain this never used to happen before.

I keep my MBP on sleep mode clamshelled unplugged for hours and I don’t get such drain like that.

Is it connected to an external display without it being connected to MagSafe on a charger? Is it charging from a display?

What’s the battery health and cycle count of it?

The only time I notice my computer battery drain is during an automatic update.
Apple > System Settings > General > Automatic Update = On

Check last update via Terminal:
Code:
softwareupdate --history

Are you running something like Facebook (or pretty much any other social media application) in Safari? They are quite often battery vampires, especially when left alone for some time.
Apple Menu Bar > Click Battery > Apps using significant energy?

Hi goldmac2006, the Mac isn't connected to anything. I put it in sleep and in the sleeve. Last night I left it at 80% @ 9pm and this morning it's on 77%. So seems a little more reasonable today. But going to keep an eye on the drain over the next few days.

Hi 960design, no updates and nothing running other than Safari, Mail and Calendar.

unfortunately i have had this problem as well, on multiple computers. I hate that I can't trust that sleep, shutdown and closing the display will have the desired effect. My computer will turn itself on, wake itself up, get warm, and run its battery down to nothing for no reason. It's a nuisance but I just leave it plugged in every night now. Really shouldn't be happening on a $5k computer.

I do the same thing when I pack my Mac the night before school days.

But I keep it on MagSafe when I do my homework, then when it’s bedtime 🥱 I unplug it, pack the charger and mice in the bag and put my Mac in the sleeve, everything in my backpack the night before.

You?
