MBP Memory Recommendation

I have a spring 2010 MBP (ver 6.2). I've used both Crucial and OWC memory to upgrade from the stock 4gigs to 8gigs, and both have failed within a 6-9 month period.

Any recommendations as to RAM that's more dependable?

Those are both dependable RAM - they should be covered by warranty. The replacement RAM should not give you any problems. Components fail at times.
