MBP Middle Click?

Is there a way to enable a middle click function on the trackpad or keyboard? I'm used to using my lenovo middle button to open and close links/tabs. very helpful function when those x's are so tiny in chrome.

You could try BetterTouchTool or MagicPrefs to add a gesture for your commands or maybe even enable some kind of middle click.
It works with the Multi-Touch trackpads only though.

I use BetterTouchTool to enable functions such as middle click on my Magic Mouse and trackpad.

thanks, i downloaded magicprefs and it works well. anyone know how to make it so i can use the the middle click action without a full click (without having to depress the entire trackpad)?

I use BetterTouchTools (hands down the best imo) and have it set to a three finger tap (not full press) and it works brilliantly. Browsing the web is just as easy as it was with my mouse now (middle click for opening links in new tabs).

does magicprefs allow for tapping instead of actual pressing the trackpad down?
