MBP Mini Display port question

Apologies if this is a regular question around here.

I was just wondering whether it's possible to have both video & audio output through the mini display port on the 2011 MBP to an HDMI equipped TV or whether this is video only and you need a separate output for audio?

With the right adaptor, it will carry both audio and video.

i am using this as i type right now. works stellar. n it doesnt block my usb port on my 15" mbp.

Also, there is the option of a single mini Display Port to HDMI cable. They are quite expensive, but more convenient.

- The Online Apple Store is expensive, yes. But the OP asked for solutions for outputting both video and audio, and none of the cables you linked to can do that...

Monoprice is a great company. I'm using this one too and its a lovely cable for a super low price.
