MBP models - Nvidia difference?

I am about to pull the trigger on a MBP, and am contemplating which model to go for. I am leaning towards 2,4 because Ram is cheap and the 250 GB HD is fine. The only thing I am wondering is: How important is the 256/512mb nvidia difference? Is it huge, and how will it manifest?

There will probably be about a 1% difference between the 256mb/512mb verson when it comes to gaming.

Perhaps someone else could comment in more detail: whatever the difference is today, won't it be amplified by Snow Leopard taking advantage of the GPUs for general computing?
