Hi,

I'm running a 2017 Mbp 15" but recently picked up an old Apple 24" Led Cinema Display. The monitor works perfectly with a mini display port adapter but I stupidly ran a firmware update on the screen (DisplayCamFirmwareUpdate 1.0). All was well and it popped up saying the firmware is already up to date.

Unfortunately now I cannot get rid of the message on boot up. I've looked at all the startup items and system paths and there isn't anything there. It appears that OSX has dropped the check into the preboot volume.

Is there any way to stop this happening? I mean I can remove the firmware update tool but if I put it back it still comes up. I don't understand why...

Any help understanding would be great.
