Hi.

I keep my MacbookPro connected via USB-C to my LG Ultrafine 5K monitor. After work is done, I close the lid, and it goes to sleep.

When I open the lid, the LG Ultrafine 5K monitor stays off. All applications which were displayed on the monitor are now squeezed together on the MBP. I have to unplug/plug it again to get the monitor back.

Is this normal behavior?
Is there a function I can use to get the monitor back without unplug/plug?

When I shut down the MBP i.s.o. putting it to sleep, the monitor is properly recognized by macOS.

Thanks

I’m also having this problem in clamshell mode and every time the computer goes to sleep it won’t recognise the monitor. Does anyone else have this problem and a workaround? Thank you.
