I am curious in the power management experiences of forum users MBPs who are multibooting and using sleep, hibernate or defaul low battery functions. And what does the blinking or solid latch light mean?
What happens when the battery gets low?
Mine is supposed to sleep but occasionally the backlighting turns off, the keyboard backlighting turns up and the fans turn up until it burns enough power to die. It feels like a failed attempt to hibernate.
What happens if the MBP is in sleep and it gets low on power?
Will it wake up and hibernate? It seems like mine has done this a couple of times.
Does your MBP ever mysteriously wake up from sleep mode?
Could a bluetooth mouse do this? Anything else?
How long will the MBP sleep? How warm does it get?
Apple says keep it in sleep for the day in OSX, but mine is warm enough sleeping from Windows I would be suroprised if it lasted 24 hours.
