So, I have been told by my local apple store that I might have a bad charging receptical, the port where the charger connects to the computer, so my question would be, does anybody know how much this might cost me?

Depends on a lot of things...

If you're out of AppleCare, and depending on your model of Macbook Pro, it would probably be around $100-$150 with labor. The port is actually a separate part, so it can be pretty easily replaced on it's own, although my estimate is totally off the cuff.

i didnt ask them because they were giving me a new battery and it was working just fine in the store with the new battery, but after a few days it stopped charging so i assume its because of the port. i came here to ask because no matter when i make an appointment at the apple store i always have to wait past my appointed time and i get sick of waiting so i leave.
