Hi,

my 2007 MBP just died. I'm getting distorted video and can no longer boot. So I guess it's the known Nvidia bug. I'll head to the Apple Store tomorrow morning, but I have some questions as I never had the pleasure to bring my MBP to a real Apple Store here in Germany. Do Apple Stores give you the harddrive if you ask for it? I really need my data next week at university ... my thesis deadline is getting closer ... (I do have TimeMachine Backups, but the last time I was connected to my server was a week ago)

Second question: Do they have Macbooks for rent (for the time of the repair?). I'd surely pay for that but I at least need the option ...

Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of them renting Macs in these situations
I seriously doubt it, but you can always ask! ;)

Good luck with your thesis!
I know you will be glad to get that behind you!

You need to backup your data before you bring it in.

No they won't give you an extra harddrive. You should have a harddrive for back up anyway.
