Hi guys,

So I own a 2013 MacBook Air and have been using it for my day-to-day life consistently for about 5 years now.

From college to work to learning Final Cut, this laptop has been the bread & butter to everything.

But now, it’s getting a bit slow.

And I’m looking to switch to something that offers a bit more performance so I can smoothly edit videos.

Not a PC gamer.

I read online that the 2015 MacBook Pro is the best option. Cause of the keyboard, the ports and so on.

Nonetheless,

I’ve gotten a deal for a used MacBook Pro, take a look:

Early 2015 13” MacBook Pro

16GB RAM

512GB SSD

3.1GHz Intel Core i7

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536MB

For 900$

Can someone tell me if this is a good deal? Cause it seems like one to me.

Or do you guys think I should get a 2017/2018 Quad-Core 13” model? Is it really worth the extra bucks?

I would go with the 2018 MBP because you are using Final Cut and the more cores you have the better

If the 2018 MBP gets broken you will get the new 2019 keyboards as replacement

And then consider the amount of money you want to spend. $900 sounds like a good deal; and the reliability is better with the 2015. Love my late 2013 13” MBP.
