Hello.,
Just noticed a mark on my screen it’s not a dead pixel as I can see when the system is off
I’ve only used this in my office pretty clean area.

The other marks on the screen is form me trust to feel the area

In all honesty, the picture quality is such that I can't tell. The screen looks dirty and while I understand its not dirt, its hard to discern.

Its bigger then a single pixel, so its either a blob of pixels, or some other issue. Either way, I'd reach out to apple or bring it to your local apple store and have them check it out.

Good luck

Went to apple today.,
They said it was some kind of screen defect and are replacing the screen for me. When they replace the screen do they replace the whole top case too ?

They did for prior generations, so you’ll probably get a new top case
They had a great deal of trouble figuring out what the issue was., said had to go check with microscope. Was almost impossible to take proper photos. I’ll update with full top replacement or screen

A microscope you say. Sounds serious. We'll be monitoring this thread for updates.
Er that’s exact words from the tech who worked with me today. Thanks

Edit- your post history is repetitive troll comments. That’s so neat, glad to see noobs think they are funny.

Glad Apple took care of it!

That image made it difficult to appreciate the screen flaw. How large was the flaw?
For example here is a picture (taken with iPhone of my MPBr15 display at default resolution with 100% scaling) of the period behind the word focus in your signature ( was it larger than the period? ):

Lol., the mark was about size of a period sir., was told this has happened a few times from the keyboard. Laptops that stay in clamshell mode will have these issues.

Yes, that is a proper photo of screen pixels, demonstrating it is quite possible to take such a photo with an iPhone, and that you do not need a microscope. OP's camera seems to be focusing on the reflection in the screen, not the screen itself. Anyway, now it is a moot point.

Apple said it was not a dead pixel but a issue caused by the keyboard super rare occurrence
Just happy it’s freee

Did they replace the keyboard as well or might this crop up again?

PS. I am obnoxiously curious as I have several (okay, many more than several) macbooks deployed and want to keep a lookout for trends or possible issues and fixes ( thanks to you ).

I mentioned that same concern! They just said the issue is noted and if it happens again they will replace the mbp . So I’ll revisit this in a few months if any more issues occur. The standard apple care expires end of march for my system.
