Hi folks,
Got an issue I hope you can help me out with. I have had this computer for several weeks and love it. However just yesterday it stopped putting itself to sleep. It will sleep when the screen is closed and wakes as it is supposed to once the lid is raised but will not go to sleep any other way as it is set up to in the system preferences. I checked yesterday and the settings were all messed up, up to 3 hours for sleep which I did not change nor did anyone else so that was weird on it's own how that happened. I was on the phone w/ Apple for about 45 mins. this morning. I removed the battery and reset the system w/ holding the power button down (did this twice) as well as holding the
option, P & R buttons down (I think that was the combo I did which the tech support guy walked me through and verified each time) which caused 2 chimes (We did this twice as well). Then we re-set to test the sleep mode, still would not sleep. We then went in and removed the com.apple.systempref.plist out of the system preferences and re-started and the same thing is happening. His advice was to take it to the Apple store for repair/replacement. Is there something else that I can do to try to fix this before that step. I REALLY do not want to send it in for repair as I am really liking this thing and do not want to be without it. Any help woul be appreciated for sure.
