MBP not going to sleep

When I leave my MacBook for the night thinking it will go to sleep automatically, I wake up and it is dead.

I don't know why but obviously it is not going to sleep. All the settings are correct, I have it set to sleep after 15 mins.

Why don't you leave it plugged in overnight? That way, even if it fails to sleep, at least the battery won't be drained.
