A couple of months ago I split my hard drive into two partitions so I could have windows vista and play games. It worked fine for the first couple of months but then it started to freeze occasionally and reboot the laptop, when I was in windows. Then it got to the point where the laptop was not reading DVDS on leopard or Windows. So I partitioned it back to one drive and the laptop would read DVDS again. So I attempted to partition it again into two drives but again I'm getting the same problem with the DVD'S. It sounds like the laptop is trying to read it but then it just spits the DVD out. Please help.

Maybe the discs are defective; have your tried different brands or movies?

Maybe the drive is bad; you need to get that fixed.

correlation is not causation. Be careful not to make an unreasonable connection between your partition choices and the problems you are having. Take it in to an apple store and have them take a look at it, it sounds like flaky hardware.

cheers
