I have a MBP mid 2009 17 inch that will not turn on. I press the power button, the fans and hard drive run for a few seconds, then it shuts off and starts again, staying on the second time. I opened it up, and looked around, and there is a chip called ISL9504 (U7100) that appears to be burnt out. Is there any way I can repair or bypass this IC?
