So the one for $1899 with the $150 rebate is the same as the $1999 one on apple.com correct?

Also it doesnt look like the one on amazon has leopard yet... but since I bought it after leopard is out, that i can upgrade for a small amount... how much is that small amount.

Has anyone else bought a MBP from amazon today?

1) Yes.
2) $9.95 here is the link: http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/
3) Sorry. I already have a MBP.

Hope this helps you.

I believe the same one is available from MacMall with the rebate and a bunch of Free-After-Rebate extras (parallels, printers, some other stuff)for about $50 more. MacMall's down right now though so I can't verify.

I had heard some not good things about MacMall where as Amazon I trust so I think if I buy anywhere besides the apple store it will be amazon.

If my Mac had any hardware problems would I be able to take it to the apple store for repairs or returns?

The rebate for the MBP through amazon says that if you submit the rebate then the product can't be returned.

looks like it doesnt come with iLife 08 and that doesnt come with the "Up to Date" program correct?
