Hello,

I've recently got a new MBP, 17'', 2.5GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3, 128GB SSD, Mac OS X 10.7.3 up-to-date.

It keeps on freezing and crashing A LOT (probably 2-3 times a day at random intervals). At first I though it has something to do with Flash Player and videos (although I never have more than 3-4 Flash containers open at the same time), then I uninstalled it, but it continues to freeze or crash.

It just happens, sometimes I can move the cursor which shows the "ball of death" but I can't click on anything, I can't do a force close or anything... it is just the cursor that is moving, even the time is not changing at the top.

Other times the computer just freezes with everything open, and I can't move even the cursor.

On ENERGY SAVER menu, I have a tick to RESTART AUTOMATICALLY IF FREEZES, but it has never restarted by itself (not that I want it to keep freezing and restarting, but still)...

Previously I have a 2007 MBP with Snow Leopard installed, and I have NEVER had such crashes... it might have crashed a total of 5 times for a number of years, and now with Lion I have more than 30 crashes in a matter of days.

How can I debug this and find the issue?

Any ideas on how to resolve it?

thanks,
Anton
